scandal x Aikawa Nanase singing "Yume Miru Shoujo ja Irarenai" Scandal (スキャンダル Sukyandaru?, stylized as SCANDAL) is a Japanese pop rock band.The group consists of four members: Haruna Ono (rhythm guitar), Tomomi Ogawa (bass), Mami Sasazaki (lead guitar) and Rina Suzuki (drums).[2] The group was formed in August 2006, and they started performing at Osaka Castle Park shortly after their formation. They quickly gained popularity, and after their overseas concerts in France, United States and Hong Kong, became popular amongst overseas Japanese popular culture fans. They were also nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the 51st Japan Record Awards. Their singles Scandal Nanka Buttobase and Haruka both peaked at the 3rd position on the Oricon charts. Their songs have also been used in anime such as Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist. Nanase Aikawa (相川 七瀬 Aikawa Nanase?, born February 16, 1975) is a Japanese singer known for employing a variety of musical styles, most notably rock. She publishes her music under the Motorod label, a division of Avex Group.
